Everyday Mathematics

This year we will be using Everyday Math as our primary math curriculum.  Students will be placed in flexible groups every few weeks based on their background knowledge of math concepts found in each Everyday Math Unit.  Students will also track and self-assess their knowledge and mastery of our School District of Waukesha math learning targets (or goals) by playing supplemental games and computer activities in addition to our learning within the curriculum.  We are very excited to have the opportunity to create long term, authentic learning opportunities that will tie our math learning into engineering and design during STEaM time!

Feel free to visit Everyday Math's Parent Connection Website for information, tips, and literature links!

Please read the following Family Letters from Everyday Math.  Each letter correlates to individual unit concepts.  Unit letters are VERY helpful as they explain vocabulary, give sample problems, and answers to the math homework.  I think this resource will be invaluable to you as you support your child's math development not only with homework, but also in FINDING CONNECTIONS AND APPLICATIONS IN EVERYDAY LIFE!
